Originally from Bombay, India, Zara is currently pursuing her MBA at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where she is a Saïd Business School Scholar.

Prior to that, Zara has enjoyed a diverse career across various sectors and geographies. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Lehigh University in 2015, Zara joined BNP Paribas’ Risk Management Division in New York where she conducted due diligence on the bank’s third parties. On moving back to India, she decided to explore her interest in education and spent 3 years with OnCourse Vantage, a Mumbai-based education start-up. Simultaneously, she spent time working in her family’s handcrafted furniture business, Colonial Collections, building out their digital marketing department. Through these experiences, she realised her passion lay in managing people and processes and bringing order to chaos. Zara is now working to build on these skills while at Oxford. With her passion for leadership, Zara has been elected to the Student Council and holds Directorship positions in the Oxford India Business Network and Retail, Luxury & Consumer Goods Club.
