Vahishtai J Daboo is a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist, Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT) from the Alexander Graham Bell Academy, U.S.A. She is one of the 5 LSLS Cert. AVT specialist certified in India. She is a certified Mental Health Practitioner from Ummeed Child Development Centre, Mumbai, using the Narrative Approach.
Vahishtai is the founder of INTEGR△TED SERVICES, for Listening & Spoken Language, a Consultancy Service and a Therapy Center for children with hearing loss that has established expertise in the Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) Approach (Auditory Verbal Approach) used all over the world for children with hearing loss to enable them to ‘listen and speak’. She is the Co-Founder and Managing Trustee of VConnect Foundation, a Parent Support Group, co-founded by her in 2007 for parents of children with hearing loss who use the Listening and spoken Language approach. She is the trustee of Shrimad Rajchandra Seva Kendra, Umang Education and Research Centre for the Hearing Impaired, Ahmedabad (2021 onwards)
Vahishtai is a Committee Member of the Alexander Graham Bell Academy for Listening & Spoken Language Certification Committee, USA.
Vahishtai’s source of inspiration stems from her journey of ‘Listening and Spoken Language’, with her son, who was detected with hearing loss early, has received early intervention services has been mainstreamed from the very beginning. She has over 25 years of experience as a parent and over 19 years as a professional in the field.
She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of families of children with hearing loss. Besides her work she loves dance, read and practice yoga.
