Shazneen is a professional. She is an author, academic, curriculum developer, group facilitator. She has worked at IIMAhmedabad, Lancaster University, SNDT University, Sadhana School for special children, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, amongst others.
She did her PhD in Health Research at Lancaster University, UK. I did my Masters in Clinical Psychology, trained as a Psychotherapist (intensive 3 years), worked as a fellow at Oxfam. I have conducted collaborative research with and conducted training for the Medical Research Council, South Africa. I schooled at Mount Carmel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
I have been conferred the WZCC (World Zoroastrian Outstanding young zarathushti professional) award, NAOP Award for outstanding young Psychologist, Zonta Award for women of the Year, Mahudawala Award for outstanding achievement, amongst others.
I was award the JNTata endowment scholarship, Overseas Research Student award, Peel Studentship and was an Assistant Dean at Lancaster University.
My maiden surname was Commissariat. I was brought up in Ahmedabad. Parents, Tehmas and Jolly. I am married, with two children, married surname Limjerwala. I actively support vulnerable individuals in the Zarathushti community: through listening, networking, guidance, providing information, building connections for work, marriage, education and emotional support. I have written articles for and have been quoted in Parsiana, Fezana, Jame, and Parsi Times. I have conducted a Leadership seminar for Jiyo Parsi, a session for youth seeking to marry, and various sessions on emotional Hygiene (HPY) and Nurturing relationships (fozya). I was selected to participate in the Asha Youth leadership Forum (Uk).
