About

Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, now residing in Toronto, Canada, Sharmin is a youth leader who has been the youngest and the Canada represent at the FEZANA board as the Assistant Secretary from 2022-2024 under the leadership of Arzan Sam Wadia.

In addition, she participated as the youngest FEZANA represent at the United Nation’s 67th Commission of status of women conference, New York in March, 2023 and initiated and headed the Attitude of Gratitude winter donation drive program as the Service and Advocacy Co-Chair at ZYNA, which witnessed more than 7 associations participate.

She has had the privilege to participate and attend various Zoroastrian events and programs such as the World Zoroastrian Youth Congress in London, Zoroastrian Return to Roots program 2023-24, and the 2nd World Zoroastrian Youth Leadership Forum held at the ASHA centre in the UK.

She is currently initiating and heading her dream project, the first ever Zoroastrian Exchange program for Parsi and Iranian Zoroastrians between the age 13-19 years within North America and is looking forward to getting more Zoroastrians involved in the community and keep them connected through more events.

She is also a proud youth committee member at the Zoroastrian Society of Ontario since November 2021 and enjoys organising events and supporting initiatives at the association.

Professionally, she is a marketing and advertising enthusiast who works for a global media agency and has been in the AdTech industry since the past 5 years. In her downtime, she is often seen exploring a new city or country, reading books or playing sports such as soccer and weightlifting!
