Sanaya presently works as a Senior Technical Consultant at IBM, after obtaining her degree in Information Technology Management for Business. She is passionate about encouraging others to pursue a career in the technology sector and is actively involved in the technical community mentoring a number of students, taking part in panel sessions to share knowledge, skills and expertise within her field and an active member of technical committees. Sanaya feels it is important to contribute to the development and learning of others and runs a yearly internship programme for 30+ students to to provide them with a technical foundation as well as giving them an insight into the technical sector whilst enhancing their inter-personal skills to give them the tools and techniques to succeed in industry.
Sanaya is passionate about helping others globally and is on the global committee and manages multiple teams, for 48in48- a hackathon style event which aims at creating 48 websites in 48 hours for 48 different non profits including events with a social justice/BAME focus and women focus. By carrying out this voluntary work, she is able to help non-profits globally create a digital presence, spread their mission and further their cause as well as attract countless volunteers to give back to the community.
Sanaya is also the current Vice President of the Young Zoroastrians of the UK and Co-Chair for the 8th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress in London 2023. She is extremely dedicated and motivated about creating a sense of community amongst the global Zoroastrian youth to allow them the opportunity to grow and connect with each other as well as educate themselves on the religion and our roots. She hopes she can help contribute towards a lasting legacy and a more sustainable future for generations to come as well as encourage the future generations of the Zoroastrian youth to work together to celebrate, educate, teach and bond over the religion.
