About

Roshan Bharucha has dedicated her life to the underprivileged, especially in Pakistan. Her focus has been on the basic needs of the society , Health, Education, Poverty Alleviation, Women empowerment and employment ,and the welfare of Orphans.

Roshan has served tirelessly as MPA Balochistan and Minister (2000-2002), as a Senator in Senate of Pakistan (2003-2006), caretake Minister Baluchistan (2007-2008), and caretaker Federal Minister Pakistan (2018). She sits on many Public bodies and is known for her philanthropy and dedication to the cause of the betterment of the poor and disadvantaged. 

Roshan helped set up the SOS Children Village Orphanage in Quetta to alleviate the suffering of young people and to help them receive a good education and a chance of employment. 

She also established HUNNAR Training Center in Quetta where women are given vocational training to help acquire skills to be employed. 

Roshan has received many awards for her dedication and commitment to those in need especially women and children. She holds itara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Exellence) Presidential Award 2021 (highest civilian award by Government of Pakistan) and the South Asia award 2004.
