Rebecca DesPrez is a writer, speaker, and advocate for Zoroastrian heritage. She holds a degree in Political Science from San José State University and completed undergraduate studies in International Relations at Marmara University in Turkey.

Rebecca currently serves as President of the Oregon Zoroastrian Organization and sits on the boards of the Zarathushtrian Assembly and the American Zoroastrian Society. She is also an active member of the Public Relations Committee for the California Zoroastrian Center. Through her writing and public speaking, she works to make Zoroastrian history and philosophy accessible and engaging for modern audiences.

When she’s not writing or researching, Rebecca enjoys knitting, reading, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Scruffy. She lives in Eugene, Oregon, and works at the University of Oregon—where she relishes foggy, rainy mornings like a true pluviophile.
