Kyra Shroff is an ex 29 year old professional tennis player, and was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. She comes from a family of sports enthusiasts and was exposed to a number of sports during her youth. She was particularly passionate about tennis and in an attempt to make it to the next level, Kyra moved to Bangalore, India at the age of 10 when she was shortlisted to train at the Nike Bhupathi Academy. At 12, she started her professional journey with her Coach Srinath Prahlad, their hard work and dedication led her to win 2 silver medals at the Junior Commonwealth Games and allowed her to qualify and represent India at the Jr Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon & US Open). She achieved a career high womens ranking of 360 in the world. Kyra has also been National champion in all age groups U14, 16 & womens, winning singles & doubles titles. She was ranked as high as 20 in Asia and 79 in the world as a junior and No 1 in India. In 2012 Kyra helped her coach in setting up SAT Sports, one of India’s most prestigious tennis schools in India, Kyra is also a consultant and mentor to the kids at the academy. Kyra is currently residing in Barcelona, Spain where she works with her trainer and mentor Prof. Javier Capitaine, she is a certified GSA level 2 coach, and works and forms parts of teams to help, educate and accompany professional and amateur athletes during their careers.
