Katayun Kapadia enjoys working with local, national, and global Zoroastrian community and is happy to hold leadership positions in the community so that she can provide support, guidance and direction to various communal activities and events. She is a proponent of promoting youth leadership within our community and inspires them to become future leaders. She also has an avid interest in supporting the Mobeds (Priests) to preserve the sanctity and treasure the integrity of our sacred religion.  As a dynamic communal leader, she aspires to help channel the community in affirmative direction by focusing on meeting its social, cultural, and religious need.  Here are a few of her salient communal service accomplishments that she has conscientiously served with dedication, dignity, and respect for all:

• President of Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America – FEZANA (2012-2016); she was also the Secretary (1993-97), Treasurer (2006-10) and Vice President (2011-12) at FEZANA.
• President of Zoroastrian Association of Pennsylvania and New Jersey – ZAPANJ (1983-87), (1997-98), (2005-07); she also served as Secretary (1993-95) and Treasurer (1981-83), (1989-93) at ZAPANJ.
• Co-Chair of North American Zoroastrian Congress 1994 hosted by ZAPANJ in Philadelphia.
• Treasurer and Vice President and on the Board of Trustees of the Zoroastrian Association de France (ZAF) in Paris, France (1998-2003)
• Founding Member of Zoroastrian Women’s International Network – ZWIN (2000)
• Co-Chair FEZANA Congress Committee (2016 to Present)
• Congress Administrator and on Executive Steering Committee for World Zoroastrian Congress 2022 – WZC in New York
• Global Treasurer for World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce – WZCC (2016-2021)
• Communications Coordinator for Zarathushti Global Working Group – GWG (2018 to Present)

Katayun is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with over 40+ years of demonstrated domestic and international accounting and auditing experience in healthcare, higher education, shipping, public accounting, and pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industries.
