Growing up in Chennai, India, I came to NYC married to Astad Clubwala. A happy journey for 47 years. Mother to two children, grandmother to four, (3 humans and a dog), my family comes first. My next passion has centered around community. Astad, as President for the Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York (ZAGNY) a few times, found a willing partner. Our children are still trying to understand our strong bond with our community. I worked for UNDP in NYC for 38 years while bringing up my children and navigating the challenges of working within the UN. Retiring in 2012 as Human Resources Advisor, there is not a moment of regret around the memorable but bureaucratic journey there. Assignments in Bangladesh, Copenhagen and Ethiopia were special. Since 2012, I work as a core member of the fundraising team at ZAGNY, first to build our Dar-e-Mehr, then a Trust Fund, and now as a member of the Ex. Steering Committee for the 12th World Zoroastrian Congress (WZC 2022). Co-Chairing the Zoroastrian Youth Across Borders (ZYAB) Program at WZC2022, we aim to bring global students to WZC who face economic difficulties. I enjoy writing articles for the FEZANA Journal, Parsiana and Hamazor. I love my Pilates Classes, play Mahjong and Pickleball while trying to learn more about the Gathas, our religion, and the Bhagavad Gita.
