Alya Mistry graduated in 2017 from Cornell University, where she did her undergraduate studies in Business Management with a year abroad at The London School of Economics. She is now in Mumbai, India, working in her family business- M Pallonji & Co. Pvt. Ltd, a nearly 100-year-old family conglomerate working in Industrial Painting, Dredging, Shipping, Tata Motors automobile dealerships, to name a few. Her work is focused mainly in the Shipping and Real Estate investments wings of her business, where she focuses on diversification, business development and operations. She plans to do her MBA this year either at The London Business School or in the US and then return to her family business post that to further work on her growth and diversification plans for the company. She also works actively with Maina Foundation, a non-profit that works towards helping women cope and deal with breast cancer detection and treatments through regular checkups, funding efforts and social media engagement.
