Khorshed Yezdi Mehta was born in Mumbai, India and spent 15 years in Singapore before moving to the US in 1984 with her husband, Yezdi and two sons, Sherazad and Darius. Since that time she has been a member of the Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York (ZAGNY).
Khorshed worked for JP Morgan Chase for 30 years and rose from a teller to a VP. She is now retired and spends her free time teaching children, doing volunteer work and enjoying her four beautiful grandchildren.
In 2021, Khorshed started on the path to become a Mobedyar. Though Khorshed feels that it was an intense experience, she also acknowledges that it has been one of the most rewarding achievements of her life. She says she chose this journey in part so her grandchildren would know anything was possible and to make them proud.
Khorshed is recognized as one of few female mobeyars in the United States by NAMC. She performs Jashans for the community on a regular basis.
