Tushna Vandrevala is Professor of Health Psychology at Kingston University and St George’s University of London. She gained her PhD from the University of Surrey in 2005 and has built her research career on investigating health promotion, risk perception and health communication in under-served and hard-to-reach group (ethnically diverse groups, migrant groups, undocumented migrants) and those at lifespan transitions (such as pregnant women). She is interested in health inequalities and has expertise in developing and evaluating outreach educational interventions with real world relevance. 

She was Honorary Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee to the British Society of Gerontology from 2018 to 2021 and is a participant of the Independent Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours (SPI-B), sub-group of Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE). 

Tushna is passionate about making real world change for people from minority communities by disseminating research findings to policy makers, government officials, clinical audiences, patients, public and their careers. She considers her role as an applied researcher to be a broker of knowledge to diverse audiences at national policy level and at local practice level, working closely with community groups, local councils and the non-voluntary sector to disseminate findings and create real world interventions.
