Jacqueline Cambata, born in Bombay, India, grew up in Asia and Europe and attended University in the United States.  Ms. Cambata has held executive positions in the aviation, design and chemical industries over the past thirty years. Most recently, she led the transformation of StarPort Aviation, as President, into a vision and values focused company, establishing sustainable profitability and successfully negotiating its’ acquisition. She established Cambata Designs as a way to model her passion of for-profit companies fundamentally engaging in social issues – in this case to address the 1st and 5th UN Sustainable Development Goals: No Poverty and Gender Equality. She has partnered with micro-finance organizations globally to uplift and support village women and in 2007 Cambata Designs partnered with the Asian Development Bank to build a school in Cambodia.

She serves on the Board of Case Western Reserve University’s Fowler Center, Business as an Agent of World Benefit; Magnolia Moonshot 2030; and is an Advisor to The Academy for Systems Change and One Earth. She is featured in the book Merchants of Vision: People Bringing New Purpose and Values to Business by James Liebig.

Ms. Cambata’s success has not only come from her vision and resourcefulness but also from her continual quest for learning and personal development.  She continually seeks to combine her pragmatic business expertise with her commitment to mentoring others.  She has developed communities within the private and non-profit sectors which have facilitated the growth and development of others.  As an example of this she worked with Scott Peck and the Chicago Graduate School of Business to implement a model of Pecks’ Community Building Principles.  Having built global businesses and lead chapters of non-profit organizations, she understands how to successfully challenge assumptions and inspire others to take risks and express their inherent potential.
